Updo’s Studio provides on-site bridal makeup in Winston-Salem, NC, offering both airbrush and high-definition application with lashes included, designed to photograph beautifully and last from the first look to the last dance.
Bridal makeup has two audiences: the people in the room and the camera that will keep the day forever. We build every complexion for both: a finish that feels natural and unmistakably you in person, and that holds up beautifully under a photographer’s lighting and the unforgiving honesty of HD.
We tailor everything to your skin, your setting, and the way you want to feel: a soft natural glow, a defined classic eye, or full glam. Long-wear, transfer-resistant formulas mean it survives happy tears, a first dance, and a humid Carolina evening.
Before you step into the day, there’s a final photo check: we shoot you under light, look at the back of the camera, and adjust until it’s perfect in the frame, not just in the mirror.

What’s the difference between airbrush and HD makeup?
Airbrush is applied as a fine mist for a weightless, exceptionally long-wearing, second-skin finish, ideal for warm weather and all-day wear. HD is hand-applied with high-definition formulas for a luminous, buildable look that’s easy to refresh. Both photograph beautifully; we’ll recommend the right one for your skin and lighting at your preview.
Will my makeup last all day and night?
Yes. We use long-wear, transfer-resistant formulas and finish with techniques chosen for your climate and timeline. It’s built to survive happy tears, a first dance, and a humid evening, and to refresh easily for touch-ups.
Do you include lashes?
Lashes are included with every makeup service. We’ll choose strip or individual lashes to suit your eyes and the overall look, enough to open up the eyes on camera without feeling heavy.
I have sensitive or acne-prone skin. Can you work with that?
Absolutely. Tell us at your preview and we’ll adjust products and prep accordingly. The preview is the time to test how your skin responds, well before the wedding day.
Can you do bold or cultural looks: a red lip, a dramatic eye, bridal looks for South Asian or other weddings?
Yes, and we love them. Our artists work across a wide range of skin tones, traditions, and styles, from soft and natural to bold editorial and cultural bridal looks. Bring your references to the preview.
