There is no house style at Updo’s. Your stylist begins with your hair’s natural texture, your inspiration, and the look you settled on at your preview, then shapes it by hand on the morning of, adjusting to the dress you’re actually in and the light you’ll actually stand in.
Once it’s right, we set it to last. Through the Carolina humidity, an outdoor first look, and a long night of dancing, your style is built to move with you and stay exactly where it should, from the first photo to the send-off.
Veils, combs, and heirloom pieces are placed and pinned with the same care, so the moment your mother or your photographer reaches for the veil, everything holds.

Will my style hold through humidity and dancing?
Yes. Hold is the whole point. We choose products and setting techniques based on the season, your venue, and whether you’ll be outdoors, then finish with flyaway control and a photo check. Your style is built to last from the first look through the last dance.
Do you work with every hair type and texture?
We do. Our stylists are experienced across straight, wavy, curly, and coily textures, locs, fine hair, and thick hair. Bring your hair as it naturally is, and we shape to it rather than fighting it.
Can you place my veil and accessories?
Always. Veils, combs, pins, and heirloom pieces are placed and secured as part of your service. Bring everything to your preview so we can plan exactly where each piece sits and how it’s anchored for the day.
What if I want length or volume I don’t have?
We offer day-of clip-in extensions, color-matched and blended, to add the length or fullness a style needs. They’re applied the morning of and removed with no commitment. See our extensions & lashes service.
Do you need a photo of the look I want?
It helps enormously. Bring inspiration to your preview, even if it’s several different directions. We’ll talk through what works with your hair, your dress, and your veil, and settle the exact look together.
